Chidham Parents, Teachers and Friends Association
The Chidham School Parents, Teachers and Friends Association (PTFA) are a registered charity that raise money for facilities and projects within school that might not be available through school funds alone. For instance, for the past few years we have been raising money to purchase new playground climbing equipment, new furniture and additional IT equipment.
The PTFA has also leased a minibus for the school, which we use to run a daily shuttle bus to Hambrook and to access more curriculum activities off site. We are always keen to get sponsorship, so let us know if you would like to advertise your business on one of the panels.
We organise some fantastic events throughout the year, some that raise a lot of money and others that are really just fun for the children (and the adults!). We hold Quiz Nights, Bonfire Bashes, Cake Sales, School Discos, Christmas Fairs, Summer Fairs and other events raising about £5000, all of which will be spent in school.
All parents of children at the school are automatically members of the PTFA and we welcome everyone to our regular meetings; these will always be signposted in the Monday Messenger. Some parents are able to come to every meeting, others only every now and then, some help regularly at events, others send contributions of cakes or raffle prizes and most parents support us by attending events or buying raffle tickets. We will welcome whatever level of support you are able to give.
